The Office of Financial Aid is available to assist students and their families to identify sources of financial aid, obtain application information and complete the application process. Our goal is to help provide you with the means to finance your Florida Tech education.

FL Tech Time Payment Plans enable you to spread out your payments for tuition and fees -- see the 2008-2009 flyer for undergraduates or for graduate students. 

New and returning Students with Federal loans must make important decisions about their loans and advise the Financial Aid Office (FAO):

Stafford Loans never appear on your student account until after you accept the loan, select your choice of lender and complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN).  You will also need to complete an Entrance Interview before the loan will be paid into your FL Tech student account.  More information about this process for new and returning students is availalbe on our web site -- see Stafford Loans.

If you just notified our office directly that you selected one of the lenders on our list, you can complete your remaining requirements online by clicking on the following llinks:

--   Entrance Interview -- Stafford

--   Entrance Interview -- Grad PLUS

If you select a lender that is not on our lender list, that lender will tell you how to sign their Promissory Note, but you will still need to satisfy your FL Tech Entrance Interview requirement.  You may do so by clicking on the appropriate Entrance Interview hyperlink above and logging in at the USA Funds sponsored interview website. 

Perkins Loans are automatically accepted for the student.   The first scheduled disbursement temporarily appears as a Pending payment on your student account, but the loan will not disburse unless you also e-sign the FL Tech Perkins Master Promissory Note.  If you wish to decline your Perkins Loan, email the FAO.

Petitioning Graduates with Federal Stafford loans and/or Graduate PLUS loans must complete an Exit Interview for each loan type they have used.  You may complete the interviews online by clicking on Stafford Exit Interview and/or Graduate PLUS Exit Interview to login to the applicable USA Funds sponsored website.  The Graduate PLUS Exit Interview is a new Federal loan requirement effective in 2008 and is independent of the requirement to do a Stafford Exit Interview. 

Petitioning Graduates with Federal Perkins Loan must also complete a separate Exit Interview; however, the Perkins Exit Record -- which enables you to logon to the Perkins Loan Exit Interview website -- is not created until the list of actual graduating students can be confirmed, normally two to three weeks after graduation. Consequently, if you want to complete the Perkins Exit Interview early, simply email the FAO with your request so the necessary website record can be created for you.
